There’s text right next to the video anyway. Do the “Set-up” with text, that way the video can get right into the story. Let the running times go from 3 seconds to 30 minutes. You can watch the status bar. Scrub to the end if you get bored. Back if you feel the need to catch up. Let the scene itself dictate how long it needs to be.
